Energy Quality of Wood and Charcoal from the Stem and Root of Eucalyptus spp.

This work aimed to evaluate the energy quality of wood and charcoal obtained from stem root genus Eucalyptus spp. From wood, physical, chemical energetic properties were evaluated. For produced in ovens carbonization furnaces model industry a muffle furnace, Based on analysis technological properties, has higher basic density (731.45 kg m-3) lignin content (26.44%), however, fixed carbon calorific value (17.54% 4547.75 kcal kg-1) lower than for (21.36% 4730.82 kg-1). It is recommended use root, both direct burning production charcoal. The industry, compared that muffle, presented quality.
